Product Description

The 6N135-L / 6N136-L series photocouplers consist of a high-efficiency AlGaAs Light Emitting Diode and a high-speed optical detector. This design provides excellent AC and DC isolation between the input and output sides. Connection for the bias of the photodiode improves speed by reducing base-collector capacitances. The internal shield ensures high common mode transient immunity, guaranteed up to 1KV/sec. Key features include high speed (1MBd typical), availability in Dual-in-line, Wide lead spacing, and Surface mounting packages, storable output, and UL/CSA approval. Applications include isolation in line receivers, digital isolation for A/D, D/A conversion, ground loop elimination, feedback elements in switching mode power supplies, pulse transformer replacement, power transistor isolation in motor drives, and interface between microprocessor systems, computers, and their peripherals.
